Nessa

Nessa is a beautiful 2-year-old Mastiff Cross. Nessa is currently in our kennels in Wrexham, North Wales. Nessa is very friendly & affectionate, but can be initially wary when meeting new people. She can easily be won round in no time, with a treat or her favourite toy – a tennis ball! She is a right water baby and loves to dip her toes into an puddle, stream or river! Nessa is truly a lovely girl with sooo much potential to be an amazing dog, she’s been living a kennel life since she was 8 months old so really deserves a chance at a forever home where she can really thrive Nessa is strong on the lead and will certainly need more training in this area, as well as with some basic manners (she will jump up uninvited sometimes). She does however listen to correction well and is very treat/tennis ball driven, so this will help keep her focus to help when she’s on the lead and other areas of her training We’ve found Nessa to be hit & miss with other dogs, it’s clear she hasn’t had much socialisation around them, so until this has improved she will do best in a pet free home so the focus can solely be on Nessa and training her up to be the best dog! She will happily walk alongside another dog and doesn’t react, she just doesn’t want to live with one. Anyone interested in meeting one of the funniest & quirkiest dogs around please get in touch. Once we have received your application this will be reviewed by our dog team and if you are a suitable match one of our volunteers will be in touch within 7 days to discuss your application in more detail. You will then be invited to meet the dog, and we encourage 2-3 meet & greets for you to get to know your chosen dog, we are happy to introduce you to multiple dogs on the day of they are suitable matches. We do request all household members attend meet & greets including resident dogs. If successful we will request a home check at this stage along with proof of identification and address. We will require written permission from a landlord for all applicants in rented accommodation.
