Scout

Scout, UK Surrender, A Bouncy Boy Saved from Danger, Looking for Safety and Kindness. Located Leicester LE9. Scout is a cheerful and sweet-natured about 10 months old Labrador cross, still just a big puppy in need of guidance and security. He’s a large-sized boy with an even larger heart. SIZE: Large SPAYED/NEUTERED: No – will be arranged once settled CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Friendly, Bouncy, Playful, Affectionate DOGS: Good with CATS: Untested CHILDREN: Best with older calm dog-savvy children She was so desperate and so grateful when our Foster agreed to take him on. He was passed on again, landing in an emergency foster who kindly stepped in. Now Scout needs a stable place where he will be loved. Detailed Information: Scout is very much a typical young Lab cross – friendly, excitable, loves people, and adores a good game of fetch. His whole body wags when he sees other dogs, and he’s keen to make friends. He is used to living indoors. On the lead, he’s surprisingly good – pulls but manageable, just enthusiasm for life. He eats dry biscuits but would no doubt enjoy a tastier menu. Scout does not like being shouted at or overwhelmed – he’s still learning how to be confident and secure, and a calm, consistent routine will help him flourish. At this stage, he’s better suited to a home without very young children, just to ensure he feels relaxed and safe. We don’t recommend pairing male dogs to prevent potential competition, even if it hasn’t been an issue in the past. Prevention is always better. Ideal Family: Scout needs a loving, calm household – ideally with access to a secure garden, and people home more often than not. He’d love to play, explore, and learn new things in a safe and positive environment. A dog-savvy family with older children or a kind female dog companion would be ideal. Scout is young, impressionable, and full of hope. With the right people by his side, he’ll blossom into a loyal, happy companion. He’s not had the easiest start, but he’s been gentle through it all – eager for love, eager to belong. Could you be the calm voice and steady hand that gives him that second chance? Health Information: Scout is currently healthy but not yet neutered. He will be neutered once assessed and settled in foster. Vaccination and microchipping will also be arranged.
