Pinot

Pinot is a 3-year-old male Cross-Breed. He’s a gentle, sensitive boy who has made a huge emotional journey since arriving in care. Once deeply fearful of touch, especially near his neck, he has slowly learned to trust again thanks to patient handling and positive experiences. Nowadays, Pinot greets people he knows with a wagging tail and a soft, hopeful smile. He’s still cautious when it comes to handling around his neck and is learning to accept a harness, so he’ll need owners willing to continue this calm, gradual rehabilitation. His resilience and progress so far show how much potential he has to thrive. Pinot was born with a forelimb deformity that slightly reduces his mobility, but it doesn’t cause him pain or stop him from enjoying life. Surgery isn’t needed for now, though this could be re-evaluated in the future. He’s sociable with other dogs but equally content spending time on his own, making him adaptable for different home setups. He hasn’t been cat tested, so a cat-free environment is recommended. While he can’t yet walk on a lead, a secure garden is essential so he can explore safely and continue building confidence at his own pace. Pinot needs a calm, patient home with experienced owners who understand that trust takes time. This brave little soul has worked so hard already, and with steady love and understanding, Pinot will continue blossoming into the trusting companion he’s meant to be.
